Privacy Agreement

This Privacy Agreement explains how Tebo handles photos, local vault records, device permissions, support messages, and privacy rights for users in California, Canada, Singapore, Australia, and other applicable regions.

1. Short Privacy Summary

Tebo is designed as a local-first creative photo collection app. In the current MVP, photos you select, Original Masters, thumbnails, gameplay fragments, and colony progress are stored locally on your device unless you choose an operating-system backup, sharing, export, support, or future cloud feature that moves data elsewhere.

Plain-language commitment: We do not sell your personal information, do not use your photos for cross-context behavioral advertising, and do not upload your selected photos from this MVP just to run the ant colony experience.

2. Scope and Controller

This Privacy Agreement applies to Tebo, including the photo vault, Original Master storage, Gameplay Fragment cache, colony state, gallery, settings, and related in-app features.

For privacy questions, Tebo's privacy contact is tebocyl@163.com. If applicable law requires a business, organization, controller, operator, or similar role to respond, references to "Tebo," "we," "us," and "our" mean the operator responsible for the App.

3. Personal Information We Handle

The exact data depends on what you choose to do in the App.

Sensitive Personal Information

Photos may reveal sensitive information such as faces, location context, health information, family details, beliefs, documents, or children. Tebo handles selected photos only for the App purposes you choose. Avoid importing photos you do not want processed by the App.

4. How We Use Personal Information

We use personal information for the following purposes:

  • To provide the App, including preserving Original Masters, generating Gameplay Fragments, showing galleries, and restoring local colony state.
  • To perform actions you request, such as selecting photos, viewing images, saving, exporting, sharing, clearing caches, or regenerating fragments.
  • To maintain safety, integrity, debugging, compatibility, storage management, and App performance.
  • To respond to support, legal, privacy, access, deletion, correction, complaint, or consent-withdrawal requests.
  • To comply with applicable laws, platform obligations, and enforceable requests from authorities.

We do not use selected photos for sale, cross-context behavioral advertising, or unrelated training purposes in this MVP.

5. Device Permissions

Tebo may request access to your photo library so you can choose photos to protect as Original Masters and transform into colony fragments. If you tap Save or export, the App may request permission to add an image back to your Photos library.

You can manage permissions in your device settings. If permission is denied or limited, some features may not work. Tebo should only access the photos you choose through the system photo picker or permissions you grant.

6. Sharing, Sales, Advertising, and International Transfers

In the current MVP, Tebo does not sell personal information, share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, or operate third-party advertising trackers.

We may disclose information when you direct us to do so, such as through export, save, share sheet, device backup, email support, or a future optional cloud/backup feature. We may also disclose information to service providers, platform operators, legal authorities, or professional advisers where reasonably necessary and legally permitted.

If support email, platform systems, cloud backup, or future service providers process data outside your region, personal information may be transferred to countries such as the United States, Canada, Singapore, Australia, China, or other locations where infrastructure or support providers operate. We use reasonable contractual, technical, and organizational safeguards for such transfers where required by law.

7. Retention and Deletion

Local App data generally remains on your device until you delete it, clear gameplay cache, delete the App, reset the device, or use an available deletion feature. Gameplay fragments may be regenerated from Original Masters. Deleting fragments does not necessarily delete Original Masters.

Support emails and privacy request records may be retained for as long as needed to respond, resolve disputes, comply with legal duties, maintain security, and keep reasonable business records.

8. Security

Tebo uses local device storage, operating-system permission controls, and reasonable app-level design choices to reduce unnecessary data movement. However, no app, device, storage method, or transmission method is perfectly secure.

You are responsible for your device passcode, device backups, shared devices, operating-system security, and any exports or screenshots you create outside Tebo.

9. Your Privacy Rights by Region

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to know, access, delete, correct, export, restrict, object, withdraw consent, opt out, appeal, or complain. We will honor applicable rights required by law.

California California residents may have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including rights to know/access, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, limit certain sensitive personal information use, and non-discrimination. Tebo does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising in this MVP.
Canada Canadian users may request access to and correction of personal information, ask questions about consent and safeguards, withdraw consent where legally available, and complain to the appropriate privacy authority.
Singapore Singapore users may request access or correction, withdraw consent subject to legal and contractual limits, ask about purposes of collection, and contact us about protection, retention, accuracy, transfer, and complaint matters under the PDPA.
Australia Australian users may request access and correction, ask how personal information is handled, and lodge privacy complaints under the Privacy Act and Australian Privacy Principles where applicable.

How to Make a Request

Email tebocyl@163.com with your request, region, device/app details if relevant, and enough information for us to understand and verify the request. Because the current MVP is local-first, some data may exist only on your device and may not be accessible to us remotely.

If we deny a request in whole or in part, you may have the right to appeal or complain to a regulator, depending on your region.

10. Children and Family Photos

Tebo is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If your region requires a higher age for consent, that standard applies.

Users may choose to import family photos or photos containing children. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to process and share those photos. Parents or guardians can contact us at tebocyl@163.com.

11. Changes to This Privacy Agreement

We may update this Privacy Agreement to reflect App changes, legal requirements, new privacy rights, new storage options, or operational updates. If changes are material, we will use reasonable methods to notify users, such as in-app notice, app listing information, or an updated effective date.
